00 an hour Tenneco is looking for a Quality Inspector that will be responsible for making quality decisions with regard to acceptance or rejection of incoming components and assembled rotators.
This includes investigation into what is causing the rejection and determining when escalation is required.
An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses a High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, procedures, manuals, etc.

You'll first hear from someone in Human Resources to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with the Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities:
Understand and follow all standard operating procedures concerning safety, quality, packaging, labeling, shop order numbers, etc.
Understand safety features on equipment in quality department.
Begin learning and operating the Link Gage and Rotation Checker with the assistance of a level II inspector or higher.
Learn proper method of filling out link and rotation documentation.
Understand and be able to identify all components used for rotator assemblies, and be able to refer to blueprints to identify information for correct assembly.
Read and interpret blueprints/component drawings in order to understand and verify conformance to specifications.
Understand the discrepant material procedure.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety rules.
Understand the plant escalation policy in order to notify your Supervisor or other management team members an issue that needs to be addressed.
Begin to perform receiving inspections on purchased components and RAW material.
Perform dimensional inspections using instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, hardness testers, comparators, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
SKILLS &
Experience:
At minimum:
1 - 3 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing field.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, decimals, and common fractions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, procedures, manuals, etc.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Detailed oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.

Ability to frequently lift 35 pounds, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
Regularly required to sit, or move about the facility.
