Role Description

This position is open to remote work.

Eastman is seeking an experienced Machine Learning (ML) Operations (MLOps) Engineer to join our centralized Data Science organization. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of Eastman's digital transformation by leveraging data and technology to provide the critical insights needed to compete in our complex markets. We tackle complexity with machine learning technologies and empirical results coupled with deep business insights from close collaboration with our business and functional partners. We push the boundaries on digital solutions by aggressively learning and leveraging what's available. We use free and open source tools alongside cloud technology to innovate quickly and deploy successfully.

MLOps Engineers are responsible for all phases of the ML workflow including close support of our data scientists. Tasks include the implementation and maintenance of frameworks and platforms to support model development, deployment, and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement MLOps tools, frameworks, and platforms to support ML development, deployment, and governance
  • Create a repeatable and reusable ML workflow for model training, evaluation, deployment, and maintenance
    • Design, maintain and improve end-to-end ML workflow
    • Manage supporting automated pipelines
  • Improve tracking and monitoring of models, experiments, artifacts, and data
  • Engage with data engineers and data scientists in feature engineering efforts
  • Diagnose and resolve ML workflow and production issues quickly
  • Design and develop end-to-end (Data/Dev/MLOps) pipelines to efficiently delivery of analytics solutions
  • Maintain infrastructure needed to support the MLOps function

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science with focus on ML or data science, Data Science, or related field of study.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the following:
    • ML Development Workflow
    • DevOps, particularly CI/CD pipelines
    • Python and R Development
    • Linux Systems
    • Containers and runtime platforms
  • Experience in operationalization of Data Science projects using at least one of the popular frameworks or platforms (e.g. Kubeflow, AWS Sagemaker, Google AI Platform, Azure Machine Learning)
  • Good understanding of ML concepts with experience in ML model development, deployment, and governance
  • Excellent information management practices, such as thorough documentation, usage of wikis, and other collaboration tools

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
